Summary: Wires residential and commercial properties to code by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reads and interprets blue prints.*
- Maintains vehicles.*
- Supervises apprentice electricians.*
- Know basic NEC Code
- Traces out short circuits in wiring.*
- Assists in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring and conduit.*
- Submits written reports for change orders.
- Ability to work independently

Four to six years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively and politely to customers and employees
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work and addressing complaints and resolving problems
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and ability to distinguish colors.
